A number of faculty members and students from the College of Political Science are participating in the online academic cooperation program with Lindenwood University in the United States, and attending the recognition ceremony held by the Presidency of the University of Mosul. The College Dean extends congratulations

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals—the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the University of Mosul held an honoring ceremony for the faculty members and students participating in the online academic cooperation program with Lindenwood University (USA), in appreciation of their efforts and academic excellence. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, and was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, along with several members of the University Council.
From the College of Political Science, the following students participated in the program and received honors: Hekm Khalid Jaro (Second Year / Evening Studies), Kawther Dara Khidr and Tamara Shihab Ahmed (Second Year / Morning Studies), and Abdulrahman Qais Abdullah and Aseed Ahmed Ghaib (Fourth Year / Evening Studies). The students were supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tareq Mohammed Thanoon, Dr. Zaid Rafe’ Sultan (Lecturer), and Asst. Lecturer Noor Basel Mahfouz.
The ceremony featured the participation of Dr. Marcus Smith, the general coordinator of the program, representing Lindenwood University through live online communication. The event comes as a culmination of the students’ efforts in the joint academic program, which provides them with opportunities to engage with international experiences, interact with advanced educational environments, and enhance their research skills and scientific capabilities in line with the University of Mosul’s vision for building effective global partnerships.
For its part, the College’s Deanery praised the participation of its students in this significant academic event and commended the efforts of their supervising faculty members, wishing everyone continued brilliance and success—scientifically, intellectually, and academically, God willing.
