College of Political Science – University of Mosul Organizes a Special Lecture on the Palestinian Narrative in Conjunction with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit (at the Presidency of the University of Mosul) and the Continuing Education Unit (at the College of Political Science), the College organized a special lecture entitled “The Palestinian Narrative: Their History and Our History” on Sunday, 30 November 2025, coinciding with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which is observed annually on 29 November.

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Rafi‘ Sharif Dhnoun, a faculty member of the International Relations branch, and moderated by Professor Dr. Jamal Kamal Ismail, a faculty member of the Public Policy branch.

The lecture aimed to highlight the concept of the Palestinian narrative and its importance in documenting the historical account of the Palestinian people, explaining its roots and development through the various stages of the conflict. It also emphasized the role of academic elites and the media in confronting attempts to erase facts and distort realities, while enhancing students’ awareness of the need to rely on rigorous academic sources in research discourse and to defend the justice of the Palestinian cause as a fair humanitarian issue.

The lecture was held under the supervision and in the presence of the Dean of the College and falls during activities of the Committee for Following Up on National and International Days. It was attended by a number of academic and administrative staff members.
