The College of Political Science – University of Mosul held a training course on Policy and Strategy for Combating Administrative Corruption in Iraq

In support of the Sustainable Development Goals — Goal 4: Quality Education; Goal 5: Gender Equality; Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities; Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; and Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions — and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit (University of Mosul Presidency) and the Continuing Education Unit (College of Political Science), the Quality Assurance and University Performance Evaluation Division organized the training course entitled: “Legal Policy and Strategy for Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption in Iraq: A Study of Challenges and Remedies,” held from 30 November 2025 to 1 December 2025.

The course aimed to shed light on the legal policies and strategies adopted to combat administrative and financial corruption in Iraq, to identify the main challenges facing the implementation of relevant legislation and oversight procedures, and to discuss the legal and institutional remedies that enhance integrity and transparency and reinforce the principles of the rule of law. It also sought to raise participants’ awareness of the important role of academic institutions in supporting reform efforts and combating corruption.

The course was conducted under the supervision of the College Deanship, with lectures delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members.
