Participation of Faculty Members from the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, in a Scientific Symposium Organized by Al-Hamdania University on Peaceful Coexistence in Nineveh

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal Four: Quality Education, and Goal Sixteen: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning/ Sustainable Development Unit (at the University of Mosul Presidency); Al-Hamdania University organized the scientific symposium titled “Unity in Diversity: Peaceful Coexistence in Nineveh Governorate,” on Thursday, 27 November 2025. Faculty members from the Department of International Relations, College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Muaid Younis and Lecturer Dr. Firas Muhammad Elias, participated in the symposium.
The symposium aimed to clarify the concept of peaceful coexistence and social unity in Nineveh Governorate, highlight cultural and religious diversity as a strength in building a stable society, and discuss mechanisms to promote dialogue among different community components to achieve social peace and local stability.
The participation in the symposium falls within the framework of the scientific cooperation agreement between the University of Mosul and Al-Hamdania University.
