In support of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 5: Gender Equality, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions—the Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit (at the University Presidency), conducted a field visit to the female student dormitories on Tuesday, 2 December 2025.

The visit aimed to review the living conditions of the students in the dormitories and to identify their needs and observations as part of the requirements of the Sixteen Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women Campaign. The initiative sought to strengthen direct communication with the students and listen to their opinions and suggestions on the one hand, while raising awareness of women’s rights and methods of protection from violence on the other, thereby contributing to the provision of a safe and supportive university environment that preserves women’s dignity and enables them to continue their educational journey with confidence and security.

The activity was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College and falls during the framework of the Sixteen Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women Campaign.
