A group of faculty members from the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul participated in the publication of the first volume of an encyclopedic book on political systems, and the college administration extends its congratulations

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the University of Mosul Presidency, the first volume of the book titled Encyclopedia of Political Systems was published by Hatrick Publishing, Printing, and Distribution in December 2025
Twenty-two researchers and political scientists from various Iraqi, Arab, and international universities and research centers participated in its authorship. From the College of Political Science, the contributors were: Assistant Professor Dr. Saadi Al-Ibrahim (as editor and supervisor), Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Salem Al-Ali, Lecturer Dr. Zaid Rafi’ Sultan, Assistant Lecturer Saad Shahab Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Younis Mohammed Mar’i, and Assistant Lecturer Tuqa Mohammed Adnan (as researchers).
The book, comprising twelve chapters and over 555 pages, offers a comprehensive study of the concept of political systems in various countries around the world, examining their origins, development, constitutional and administrative structures, analyzing different governance models and the mechanisms of authority and interrelations, while highlighting comparative experiences in democratic, behavioral, and hybrid states. It ultimately aims to provide a deeper understanding of how political systems are formed and their impact on stability, governance, and decision-making within the state.
The remaining volumes of the encyclopedia are expected to be completed in the near future, God willing.
The college administration congratulated this scholarly and intellectual effort, wishing all the authors and faculty members continued brilliance and distinguished achievements, God willing.
