College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Holds a Student Scientific Workshop on the Requirements of Scientific Research

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit (Presidency of the University of Mosul), and the Continuing Education Unit (College of Political Science), the College held a scientific workshop entitled “Requirements of Scientific Research: From Idea to Publication” on Wednesday, 17 December 2025.
The workshop aimed to introduce the fundamentals and components of sound scientific research, highlighting the methodological stages of research preparation, starting from selecting the idea and formulating the research problem, passing through defining objectives and hypotheses and choosing the appropriate scientific methodology, and concluding with proper scientific documentation methods and the requirements for publishing research in reputable scientific journals. This contributes to developing research skills and enhancing academic capabilities in accordance with approved scientific standards.
The workshop consisted of two lectures delivered by the Head and a faculty member of the Department of International Relations, Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Mousa, and Assistant Lecturer Najwan Hani Mahmoud.
The workshop was held under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and supervised by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasim Al-Taie, and was intended for fourth-year students.
