College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Delivers an Awareness-Raising Educational Lecture for Dormitory Students on the Role of the Social Researcher in Creating a Conducive Examination Environment

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal Four: Quality Education—and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit (Presidency of the University of Mosul), the College of Political Science resumed its series of awareness-raising lectures for dormitory students on Wednesday, 17 December 2025.
On that day, the lecture entitled “The Role of the Social Researcher in Creating a Conducive Environment During Mid-Year Examinations in Addressing Exam Anxiety and the Fears Experienced by Students Due to the Difficulty of Courses and Curricula” was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Aseel Ghanem Abd, a faculty member of the Public Policy Department.
The lecture aimed to highlight the vital role played by the social researcher in supporting dormitory students during examination periods by fostering an appropriate psychological and social environment, reducing manifestations of exam anxiety and fears associated with the difficulty of courses and curricula, and enhancing students’ psychological and social adjustment. This, in turn, contributes to improving academic achievement and creating a successful educational environment.
The activity is held under the supervision of the Dean of the College and consists of six lectures delivered in rotation by a select group of faculty members, according to a pre-announced schedule.
