College of Political Science – University of Mosul Holds a Scientific Seminar on the Role of Counseling in Combating Terrorism

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit and the University Psychological Counseling Unit (at the Presidency of the University of Mosul), as well as the Continuing Education Unit (College of Political Science), the University Psychological Counseling Division held its guidance seminar entitled “The Role of Psychological Counseling in Combating Terrorism”, on Monday, 22 December 2025.

The seminar aimed to highlight the pivotal role of psychological counseling in preventing extremist thought and combating terrorism, enhancing students’ psychological awareness, developing their critical thinking skills, and building a balanced personality capable of confronting intellectual and behavioral challenges, thereby contributing to the achievement of intellectual security and the desired societal stability.

The seminar consisted of two lectures delivered alternately by Lecturer Dr. Raghad Nizar Saeed and Assistant Lecturer Naba Ezzedine Mohammed.

The seminar was held under the supervision of the College Deanship and targeted the student community.
