In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education—and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit (at the Presidency of the University of Mosul). The Council convened its seventh open session for the academic year 2025–2026 on Thursday, 15 January 2026.

During the meeting, the minutes of the Public Policy and International Relations departments were discussed. Emphasis was placed on the necessity for research teams to complete their studies, in preparation for publishing them in international indexing databases such as Scopus and Clarivate. In addition, the attendees reviewed the directives of the Twelfth Advisory Board for the year 2025, as well as relevant instructions issued by the University Presidency.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jasim Al-Ta’i, and attended by the Scientific and Administrative Vice Deans, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin. Also present were the Heads of the International Relations and Public Policy departments, Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Mousa and Professor Dr. Walid Salem Mohammed; the representative of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, Lecturer Dr. Firas Mohammed Elias; in addition to the Council Secretary, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Mu’ayyad Al-Dabbagh.
