Issuance of a New Book by a Faculty Member of the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, on Sustainable Education for Achieving Peaceful Coexistence

In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions—a new book authored by Lecturer Saja Fattah Zaidan, a faculty member of the Department of Public Policy at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, was published in January 2026 under the title: “Sustainability of Education for Achieving Peaceful Coexistence.”
The book offers a comprehensive analysis of the education crisis in Iraq and the repercussions of wars, pandemics, and societal divisions, which have resulted in learning loss, a decline in the principles of citizenship, and diminished opportunities for peaceful coexistence.
The author proposes an integrated educational program aimed at compensating for educational disruptions and building school environments capable of withstanding crises, while simultaneously instilling values of dialogue, participation, and social inclusion.
The College Deanship extends its congratulations on this rigorous scholarly achievement, wishing her—and all faculty members—continued academic and intellectual excellence, and praying for success from God.
