The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Participates in a Meeting with the French Consul

The University of Mosul hosted a meeting between the university and the French Consulate in Mosul on Thursday, 13 February 2025. The French side was represented by Consul Jean Christopher and Mr. Simon, Director of the French Institute for the Near East. Representing the university was the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, accompanied by several deans of the relevant colleges, including the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs of the College of Political Science, Lecturer Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri, who attended on behalf of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Tayeb Dhahir.

The participants discussed various topics of cooperation. The French delegation presented their proposals, along with an introduction to the French Institute for the Near East and its future goals to establish studies in ancient Iraqi languages and conduct research in the fields of political science, humanities, heritage, and archaeology.

The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs of the College of Political Science provided a brief overview of the college’s academic achievements and the ongoing research, particularly in the various specialized fields. The discussions with the French Consul also explored a mechanism for joint work in scientific research and the exchange of academic expertise.
