The Deanship of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mosul, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. WissamNemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the Faculty, and members of the Faculty Council and its scientific and administrative staff, congratulate the journalists on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day on the third of May by announcing the United Nations General Assembly in 1993 based on the recommendation of the conference UNESCO General Assembly and the Windhoek Declaration of 1991, which affirmed the ethics of the profession of journalism

World Press Freedom Day is a reminder for governments to respect their obligations regarding freedom of the press and journalists, protect the media from attacks, and affirm their independence
