Scientific workshop

Assistant Professor Dr. Ziad Abdel Wahab Abdullah, one of the teachers in the Human Rights Law Branch at the College of Law, and Assistant Professor Dr. Yassin Mayser Aziz, one of the teachers in the Public Law Branch, participated via cyberspace in the scientific workshop entitled (Al-Aqsa Flood between its future paths and the Zionist attacks), which was held by the Iraqi Association for Political Science. / Nineveh Branch, in cooperation with the Faculties of Law and Political Science. Dr. Ziad Abdel-Wahab Abdullah’s participation was represented in the research paper entitled Prohibition of Targeting Civilian Objects within the scope of International Humanitarian Law / the Gaza Strip as an example. Dr. Yassin Mayser Aziz’s participation was represented in the research paper entitled Protecting Women and Children in Armed Conflicts / the Gaza Strip as an example. The two papers referred to civilian objects protected under international humanitarian law and their definition and distinction from what is military under international instruments and conventions, in addition to referring to women, children and groups protected by law and internationally. This participation comes within a series of scientific, research, cultural and academic activities and events for members of our college aimed at developing capabilities. And enhancing the scientific and cognitive skills of the college’s members by participating in the activities and events held by educational, knowledge, research and community institutions, and the role of this in spreading the legal culture in addition to achieving interconnection between the scientific and practical aspects.
