On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, the Public Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed the doctoral thesis tagged with the principle of legal security / a comparative analytical study in the scope of the legal work of the administration, a part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr.

The thesis submitted by the student Hossam Mohsen Abdulaziz in the Public Law Branch dealt with legal security, which is today a principle and a necessity in the legal state, based on the fact that the legal base must be based on legal security, as it has become the backbone of the legal base as long as we cannot talk about the value of the legal base Except in view of the degree of its stability and the extent to which it achieves rights and legal conditions, and the consequent realization of legal certainty in the legal base and building the confidence of individuals in the legal system.

The study aims to show that the term “legal security” did not arise at once, but rather in several stages that accompanied the development of the law to be integrated in the light of societal developments and experiences that allow correcting the intuitions that permeate the application of legal texts, allowing to say that the principle of legal security is among the most important principles that perpetuate the cohesion of the system In the legal state and the protection of individual positions and the rights of the citizens of the state.

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Khurshid Al-Mafraji, with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Qaidar Abdel-Qader Saleh, Assistant Professor Dr. Fawaz Khalaf Zaher, Assistant Professor Dr. Nektel Ibrahim, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Rubaie Abdul Rahman, and the membership and supervision of Prof. Dr. Hassan Muhammad Ali.
