Master’s thesis in the branch of private law on the lineage of children born through artificial insemination / a comparative study,,,
On Thursday, November 24, 2022, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on the proportions of children born through artificial insemination / a comparative study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its teachers.
The thesis submitted by the student Hussein Abd Hussein in the private law branch dealt with childbearing, as obstacles such as infertility or infertility may change, but with scientific development, the so-called artificial insemination or the so-called test-tube baby appeared. Sharia and legal problems, especially with regard to establishing the lineage of the newborn from this process, which gave this issue great importance to the legislators, including the Iraqi legislator.
The thesis aims to show that the term artificial insemination was not known to Muslim jurists except in some parts that were expressed by the term insertion, but they did not deal with its provisions in detail.
The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Taha Saleh Khalaf, with membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Nashwan Muhammad Suleiman and teacher Dr. Amer Mustafa Ahmed, and membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Nashwan Zaki Suleiman.
