Upon successful completion of the program requirements, graduates are awarded the Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) degree by the University of Mosul.

The Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) program at the College of Law, University of Mosul, is accredited at Level 6 of the Iraqi National Qualifications Framework (INQF), in full compliance with the standards and regulations set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR).

Admission to the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program at the College of Law, University of Mosul, is governed by the regulations and admission policies of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) and the University of Mosul. Applicants must meet the approved admission criteria for law programs.

To be awarded the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Law, students must successfully satisfy all graduation requirements, including:

* Successful completion of all 240 ECTS credits, including all compulsory and elective courses specified in the curriculum.
* Achievement of the minimum graduation requirements in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) and the University of Mosul.
* Successful completion of all required practical training, moot court exercises, and clinical legal components of the program, where applicable.
* Compliance with all academic regulations governing assessment, progression, and graduation as approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) and the University of Mosul.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and transfer of academic credits are considered only in cases of student transfer or course equivalency, in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) and the University of Mosul.

The Bachelor of Law Program aims to equip students with comprehensive and systematic knowledge of fundamental legal concepts and the diverse branches of law. The program develops students’ abilities to analyze, interpret, and correctly apply legal texts in light of constitutional values and the general principles of justice.

Graduates will gain an integrated understanding of both the theoretical and practical dimensions of law, recognizing its essential role in regulating social, economic, and political relationships.

The program awards the Bachelor’s Degree in Law and prepares graduates for professional legal practice, postgraduate studies, or careers in public administration, the judiciary, legal consultancy, and advocacy. The curriculum and learning experiences are designed to prepare students to address contemporary legal challenges with a strong commitment to ethical values, the rule of law, and justice.

Detailed Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcome 1 – Knowledge of Fundamental Legal Concepts and Principles

Graduates will be able to identify and explain key legal concepts, principles, and rules across various branches of public and private law, and understand their historical and social evolution.

Learning Outcome 2 – Legal Analysis and Interpretation

Graduates will be able to analyze, interpret, and apply legal texts to diverse factual situations, in alignment with constitutional values and the spirit of legislation.

The Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program at the College of Law, University of Mosul, is aligned with the Iraqi National Qualifications Framework (INQF) at Level 6. he Bachelor of Laws Program adopts the examination, assessment, and grading regulations approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) and the University of Mosul. Student performance is assessed through a variety of continuous and summative assessment methods, including:

* Continuous assessment (quizzes, assignments, and classroom activities).
* Midterm examinations.
* Final examinations.
* Moot court participation, case studies, and practical legal exercises.
* Legal research papers, coursework, and drafting legal documents.
* Summer training (field practice in courts or legal departments).

To be eligible for the award of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), students must successfully fulfill all graduation requirements in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) and the University of Mosul, including:

* Successful completion of all 240 ECTS credits and all compulsory and elective courses specified in the curriculum.
* Achievement of the minimum graduation requirements, including the required cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA), in accordance with the applicable regulations.
* Successful completion of the graduation research project and all required practical (e.g., moot court) and summer training components.
* Fulfillment of all academic and administrative requirements for the award of the bachelor’s degree

The Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) is a four-year, full-time undergraduate program delivered in accordance with the Bologna Process and comprising 240 ECTS credits. The program adopts a student-centered learning approach that integrates theoretical lectures, moot courts, practical legal applications, legal drafting, field training, case-based learning, and modern legal research methods. Students are trained to utilize specialized legal databases and digital tools for legal research, case analysis, and contract drafting, including national legal databases and digital court management systems. These learning activities are further supported by seminars, legal workshops, and practical training in legal clinics to enhance students’ analytical competence, advocacy skills, and readiness for professional legal practice.

Program Coordinator of the Bachelor of Law (LL.B.)
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) program. The role includes overseeing the implementation of the curriculum, monitoring the achievement of the Graduate Outcomes, coordinating academic activities among faculty members and students, supervising practical training activities such as moot courts, legal clinics, and field training, and ensuring alignment with the University of Mosul’s quality assurance policies, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) regulations, and program accreditation requirements. The Program Coordinator also supports curriculum review and enhancement to ensure that the program remains responsive to developments in the legal field, the needs of the legal profession, and emerging legislative and societal changes.
