According to the seminar series for Department of Microbiology, College of Veterinary Medicine using GoogleHangouts Meet.Dr. Ihsan Muneer Ahmed delivered seminar on the topic ” Principle and use of SDS-PAGE in protein characterization” onSunday 16thAugust2020. The seminar was focussed on an analytical technique to separate proteins based on their molecular weight. In SDS-PAGE, the use of sodium dodecyl sulfate and polyacrylamide gel largely eliminates the influence of the structure and charge, and proteins are separated solely based on polypeptide chain length. This seminar was attended by head of department and a number of college staff and postgraduate students.
