Awareness lecture

“As part of the ongoing collaboration between the College of Veterinary Medicine and the National Security Agency, a public awareness lecture titled “Safe Use of the MasterCard” was held on Monday, July 28, 2025, under the awareness campaign “Your Card… Your Safety.”

The lecture aimed to highlight the concepts of electronic payment cards, the types of available cards, and mechanisms to maintain their security. It also covered real-world examples of electronic fraud and ways to prevent them, along with guidance on how to respond appropriately when facing such situations.

This initiative comes within the College’s efforts to elevate security and digital awareness among its affiliates, and to promote a culture of safe use of financial technologies—aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:

  • Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
  • Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
  • Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities
  • Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
