Commencement of the Third Student Scientific Conference at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul

Under the auspices of the Presidency of the University of Mosul, the College of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, organized the activities of the Third Student Scientific Conference on Monday, 13 April 2026, under the theme:

“Student Research Projects: The Foundation for Building Future Researchers”

The conference was dedicated to the discussion and evaluation of graduation research projects submitted by fifth-year students at the College.

This scientific event aimed to promote and institutionalize a culture of academic research among students, while encouraging the production of rigorous and impactful scientific studies that contribute to the advancement of the veterinary sector and the service of society. Furthermore, the conference sought to enhance students’ competencies in scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and academic discourse.

The scientific discussion committee consisted of the following faculty members:

The sessions conducted during the first day of the conference featured distinguished scientific discussions characterized by academic rigor, objectivity, and constructive engagement. These discussions reflected the significant research efforts undertaken by the students under the supervision of their faculty mentors. The conference also underscored the pivotal role of the College of Veterinary Medicine in preparing a generation of researchers capable of contributing effectively to scientific advancement and community development.

The organization of this conference aligns with the University of Mosul’s strategic commitment to supporting student-centered scientific activities and reinforcing the role of research in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
