Celebrating the Forty-Ninth Anniversary of the College of Veterinary Medicine

The College of Veterinary Medicine memorialized its forty-ninth anniversary with a grand celebration attended by faculty members, staff, and students.
The event opened with a speech by Prof. Dr. Dhafer Muhammad Aziz, the Dean, who highlighted the college’s remarkable achievements in scientific and research domains, noting its advancement in international rankings.
This was followed by a concise lecture delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ziad Makram Yousif, Media and Government Communication Representative, who shed light on the significant services the college offers across scientific, research, and community service levels. He also shared a range of statistics related to the college’s activities.
As a gesture of appreciation, retired teaching and administrative staff were honored, accompanied by the heartfelt message: “Thank you for your giving.” The ceremony also paid tribute to those who have passed away, with their families being recognized in remembrance and gratitude for their contributions.
The top three graduating students were celebrated, emphasizing pride in their outstanding achievements. Additionally, the college’s distinguished professors received Science Day awards, signifying the institution’s commitment to academic and research excellence.
The Preparative Committee, led by the Dean, concluded by extending sincere gratitude to all who joined in celebrating this cherished occasion.
