Activities of the Department of Veterinary Public Health
As part of the extracurricular activities for the college students, a scientific field visit was organized on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, for first-year students to the newly established Bashiqa Hatchery. The visit aimed to introduce students to the operational mechanisms of modern hatcheries, including the procedures for receiving and preparing hatching eggs. Students were also briefed on the latest machinery used in incubators and hatchers, and how these are operated to produce poultry chicks.
Such scientific field visits are essential and beneficial for enhancing the students’ academic knowledge and practical skills.
