In the presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, and in line with the university’s commitment to serving the community amid the spread of foot-and-mouth disease outbreaks in some Iraqi provinces, the College of Veterinary Medicine held its scientific seminar titled:
“Foot-and-Mouth Disease: Its Risks to Animal Wealth and Humans.”
The seminar included scientific lectures covering a general introduction to the disease, its causative agent, modes of transmission, and its impact on both animals and humans. The seminar also addressed methods of prevention and control of the disease, as well as its effects on the safety and quality of animal products.
