Workshop: The Role of Civil Society and Educational Institutions in Supporting Afforestation
As part of the ongoing series of workshops organized by the Sustainable Development Committee at the College of Veterinary Medicine, and in collaboration with the University Presidency / Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, a workshop titled
“The Role of Civil Society and Educational Institutions in Supporting Afforestation”
was held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
The workshop addressed the importance of afforestation in building civil societies and the risks associated with its absence, including desertification. It also explored ways to strengthen cooperation between civil society and educational institutions to support sustainable afforestation initiatives.
