The Agricultural Committee at the College, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a workshop entitled “How to Select Suitable Trees for Planting” on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Nizar Abduljawad from the Anatomy Department. It addressed the principles of selecting appropriate plants for cultivation based on the surrounding environment and the intended purpose of planting.

At the conclusion of the workshop, emphasis was placed on the importance of planting and afforestation in improving the environment and achieving environmental sustainability.

This workshop is part of a series of activities through which the College seeks to promote a culture of sustainable development, in alignment with Goal 13 (Climate Action) of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
