The Quality Assurance and University Performance Division – Laboratory Quality Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held on Monday, February 9, 2026, a workshop entitled “Job Description of Laboratory Staff.”

The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Issam Behnan Bashir, Head of the Laboratory Quality Unit, and was attended by the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Student Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, as well as laboratory supervisors.

The workshop introduced participants to the duties and responsibilities of laboratory personnel, enhanced their skills in applying technical procedures, quality control, and adherence to laboratory safety rules, all of which contribute to improving performance efficiency and the overall quality of laboratory work. The event was marked by active engagement from attendees, who posed a variety of questions that were thoroughly addressed.

This workshop is part of a series of activities through which the College seeks to promote a culture of sustainable development, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
