A master’s thesis presented by Zainab Sulaiman Ayoub “Isolation and Molecular Characterization of Some Gram-Negative Bacteria from Cases of Pneumonia in Small Ruminants”

Master’s Thesis Defense

A Master’s thesis was defended at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Microbiology, entitled:

“Isolation and Molecular Characterization of Some Gram-Negative Bacteria from Cases of Pneumonia in Small Ruminants”

by the student Zainab Sulaiman Ayoub, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Balsam Yahya Rashid, on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

The examination committee consisted of the following members:

Prof. Dr. Balsam Yahya Rashid (College of Veterinary Medicine – University of Mosul) – Member and Supervisor

The results of lung sample isolation revealed the presence of various bacterial species. Molecular analysis confirmed the efficiency of Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in accurate diagnosis, as all examined isolates tested positive.

After the student defended her thesis with scientific competence and confidence, and following discussion by the committee, the thesis was approved.
