Training Course Titled: The Impact of Environmental Pollution on Fish

The Department of pathology and Poultry Diseases – College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit, held a training course on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, titled “The Impact of Environmental Pollution on Fish.” The course runs from March 3–5, 2026.

The course included several key topics, most notably:

An introduction to the aquatic environment and its importance.

The importance of fish and their role in the ecosystem.

The importance of fish for humans from both nutritional and economic perspectives.

The concept of environmental pollution and the types of pollutants.

The major diseases caused by pollutants in fish and their impact on public health.

The course aimed to highlight the dangers of environmental pollution and its effects on fish resources, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the aquatic environment to ensure the sustainability of natural resources.

This course aligns with the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 14 (Life Below Water).
