The College of Education for Girls receives a ministerial committee to discuss the establishment of the English Language Department
As part of its continuous efforts to enhance its academic career and keep pace with the requirements of the labor market, Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Hazem Korkis, Dean of the College of Education for Girls, received a specialized ministerial committee to discuss the possibility of establishing the English Language Department at the college, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
The Dean participated in receiving the committee by the two assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, along with a number of faculty professors, who expressed their support for this important academic step.
This visit aims to assess the college’s preparations for the opening of the English Department, in terms of spatial preparations and teaching staff.
For her part, the Dean of the Faculty stressed that the Presidency of the University supports academic diversity within the Faculty, to enhance its ability to graduate qualified cadres who possess the language skills required by the local and global labor market, in a way that contributes to keeping pace with scientific and educational developments at the national and international levels.
This initiative comes within the college’s vision to open up to new disciplines that contribute to building an empowered and competitive academic generation.
