It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the most beautiful welcome on the website of the College of Education for Girls at the University of Mosul. This newly born College was established in 2005 alongside other colleges to serve our dear Iraq, meet students’ growing needs, and uphold the values of science, knowledge, research, and service development in our dear country.
The College of Education for Girls includes five scientific departments: (the Department of Quran Sciences and Islamic Education), (the Department of Arabic Language), (the Department of Chemistry), (the Department of Biology), and (the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences), The departments of the college provide a solid scientific environment for their students based on modern scientific electronic curricula and means. The college is equipped with laboratories, a computer centre, and a promising library.
The college currently consists the deanship, the scientific departments, the indoor sports Hall, the canopy house and the animal house that provides its support to researchers and the students as well. The goals of the college are to provide all possible avenues that would in still in the minds of the students to strive for high standard of academic excellence, to provide education to women in and around the province, to prepare qualified and distinguished staffs to work in community institutions with high efficiency, to provide students with modern knowledge in various scientific and educational fields and to create and present postgraduate programs in various scientific and human disciplines.
The college has a variety of activities that contribute to community service by conducting continuing education courses for faculty members and employees inside and outside the university such as Arabic language safety course, physical fitness course, laboratory safety course, effective teaching course), and (Hajj and Umra course), and other courses. The College is always determined to develop its agendas in line with the rapid progress of science and technology developments abroad. The college has hold local and international conferences, public and specialized seminars. It conducts and constructs cooperation with scientific and educational institutions in the field of gaining expertise and scientific exchange.
