The Department of Economics at the Faculty of Management and Economics /University of Mosul discussed the master’s thesis tagged “Knowledge Index as one of the ways to measure the digital divide studied in a selected group of countries with reference to Iraq. The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman attended part of the discussion.This study, presented by the student “Muntaha Ahmed Hamed” .it seeks to identify the knowledge economy and how to measure the digital divide between a group of European countries and a group of Asian countries, as well as to refer to the concept of the digital divide and how to measure it through one of the most important methods adopted to measure it, namely the knowledge index, which is one of its most important indicators.The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Moneim Ahmed Khudair from Samarra University, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Naif Mahmoud from Mosul University / Faculty of Tourism Sciences, and Assistant Professor Dr. Yassin Rasul Younis from Salaheddine University, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Anmar Amin Al-Barwari.
