The Faculty Council met in its first session at the beginning of the new academic year 2023-2024 under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thair Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman, and in the presence of the respected assistants of the Dean for Scientific and Administrative Affairs and the respected heads of scientific departments, and the meeting dealt with the following topics:

1- The Dean of the Faculty directed the heads of scientific departments to prepare for the performance of the second round exams, especially with regard to the pattern of exam questions and taking into account the scientific and formal aspects in accordance with the exam instructions.
2- The Dean of the Faculty directed the heads of scientific departments to focus on holding conferences, seminars and scientific workshops and preparing an integrated plan for the academic year 2023-2024.
3. The Dean of the Faculty directed the heads of scientific departments to motivate teachers to publish in local, regional and international journals, especially publishing in journals within Scopus containers.

4. The Dean of the College directed the heads of scientific departments to graduate students to choose topics that contribute to solving realistic problems or providing developmental models for the performance of governmental and private organizations.Finally, the Council dealt with what was stated in its agenda and took the necessary decisions and recommendations thereon.
