The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the doctoral thesis tagged “Foreign Direct Investment in Light of Financial and Institutional Changes”.

The current study targeted … Which was submitted by the student “Sana Shamil Mohammed” in the Department of Economics to: Determining the size of the financial and institutional indicators of the Asian tigers, their impact on foreign direct investment in the Asian tiger countries and the size of their dead, and the relationship between financial and institutional variables and foreign direct investment.

The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are: that the financial variables are statistically significant and that there is a positive relationship between
Government expenditure and foreign direct investment and a negative relationship between taxes and foreign direct investment.

The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Hashim Muhammad Al-Arkub, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Rafia Ibrahim Al-Hamdani, Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Salem Ali, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Abdullah Muhammad from the University of Tikrit, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Waheed Hassan, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abdullah Khader Abtan.
