The University of Mosul – College of Administration and Economics – Department of Accounting witnessed, on Thursday, 5 February 2026, the defense of a Higher Diploma thesis entitled:
“A Proposed Environmental Auditing Program to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals – An Applied Study,”
presented by the student Yahya Saad Yahya, in Discussion Hall No. (2).
The study aimed to develop a proposed environmental auditing program that contributes to achieving sustainable development goals by improving environmental performance, ensuring environmental compliance, and enhancing the efficiency of resource utilization in economic units.
The study reached several conclusions, most notably confirming the effective role of environmental auditing in achieving sustainable development goals. It demonstrated a significant correlation and impact between the dimensions of environmental auditing and sustainable development, and emphasized the necessity of adopting an integrated environmental auditing program in economic units.
