College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul Launches Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2026 Activities Organized by the Department of Industrial Management

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul launched, on Monday, 9 February 2026, the activities of Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week by organizing Entrepreneurship Day through the Department of Industrial Management, in conjunction with the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Iraq, under the slogan: “Ideas Rise from the Land of Mesopotamia.”
The events were held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul; supervised by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs; and followed on-site by Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics.
Hall No. (1) hosted a specialized scientific workshop that discussed the role of industrial entrepreneurship in supporting development in Nineveh Governorate. The workshop included the presentation of two research papers addressing the investment of industrial waste for energy generation and quality standards in government solar energy projects.
The activities were further distinguished by applied collaboration with Clean Energy Company for Energy Services through a technology exhibition, in addition to an interactive workshop on digital marketing presented by expert Laith Waad Allah from Qudrat Academy, aimed at enhancing students’ competitive skills.
The events concluded with the “Window of Hope” segment, during which a graduate of the Department of Industrial Management shared his successful professional experience, illustrating the transition from academic study to entrepreneurship and professional training.
The College Deanship affirmed that these activities align with the University of Mosul’s direction toward supporting innovation and transforming academic ideas into entrepreneurial projects that contribute to economic development, in the presence of a distinguished group of faculty members, staff, and students.
