The meeting addressed several topics related to the activation of the IQ-Learn Smart Learning Platform. It was emphasized that the platform is an official educational platform within the digital transformation project in Iraqi universities, which has been under development for more than a year and a half. It was also clarified that the platform is not related to the rumors about a complete shift to online teaching, while confirming the continuation of in-person attendance in Iraqi universities at the present time.
The council also clarified that the previous fee of 66,000 Iraqi dinars has been cancelled, allowing students to use the smart learning platform free of charge. The meeting further noted that training materials are available, including 11 short instructional videos and 5 recordings of training workshops, aimed at enabling instructors to use the platform effectively and with ease.
In the same context, the meeting announced the organization of a special training program for university lecturers in Iraqi universities to introduce the mechanisms for using the platform, in addition to publishing two instructional videos for students explaining how to benefit from its services.
The council stressed the necessity for both instructors and students to adhere to using the platform and to complete all technical and administrative procedures required for its activation within a maximum period of one week starting from the day following the meeting, in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a technical support committee was formed to follow up on the implementation of the platform’s operational requirements and to provide the necessary technical assistance to academic departments, ensuring the effective application of the IQ-Learn Smart Learning Platform and strengthening the path of digital transformation in the educational process within the college.
