College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Promotes Mental Health Awareness Through a Scientific Workshop on Negative Behaviors Leading to Suicide

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, with the close follow-up of the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Younis Al-Sabawi, the Department of Business Administration (University Guidance Committee), in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit, organized a specialized scientific workshop entitled:
“Negative Behaviors Leading to Suicide.”
The workshop was organized by a preparatory committee that included:

The workshop featured valuable academic lectures delivered by a distinguished group of female lecturers from the College of Law:

The event was held at the College of Administration and Economics, Deanship Building – Hall No. (1), on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the presence of the Dean of the College, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, a number of faculty members from the Department of Business Administration, as well as students and staff of the college.
The workshop addressed several key scientific themes, focusing on identifying negative behaviors and the factors leading to them, along with their psychological and social impacts. It also highlighted methods of prevention and early intervention, contributing to the development of a more aware and stable university environment.
The event witnessed strong academic engagement and constructive discussions, reflecting the importance of the topic in enhancing psychological and social awareness within the university community.
This workshop is part of the University of Mosul’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of psychological guidance and strengthen awareness programs, in line with its commitment to supporting students both psychologically and socially, and to building a comprehensive educational environment that takes into account human as well as academic dimensions.
