Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, with the follow-up of the Head of the Accounting Department, Prof. Dr. Ziad Hashim Al-Saqqa, the Accounting Department organized a scientific workshop titled:

​“The Impact of the Digital Environment on Accounting and Auditing”

​The workshop took place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM in Lab No. 1 of the department. The sessions were presented by:

• ​Lecturer Dr. Manal Naji
• ​Lecturer Alaa Hamid

​The workshop addressed the impact of digital transformation and modern technological developments on the accounting and auditing profession. It highlighted the role of the digital environment in developing accounting procedures, enhancing the efficiency of auditing processes, and improving the accuracy of financial statements.

​The event was attended by several faculty members from the department and featured scientific discussions on the challenges and opportunities posed by the digital environment in accounting work, emphasizing the importance of keeping pace with technical advancements in the field.

​This workshop is part of the ongoing efforts of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul to support scientific activities that align with modern digital transformations and contribute to the development of academic and professional skills in the fields of accounting and auditing.
