Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses a Doctoral Dissertation on Hybrid Manufacturing and Sustainable Environmental Development

The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul (Discussion Hall No. 1), witnessedn on Sunday, May 17, 2026, the discussion of the doctoral dissertation entitled: “The Role of Hybrid Manufacturing in Achieving Sustainable Environmental Development – The Mediating Role of the Organization’s Core Competencies: A Case Study at theNorthern Cement State Company” Submitted by the student: Ahmed Khalid Abdulrahman Hamid Al-Sabawi.
The study aimed to identify the nature of the correlation and impact relationships between the current study variables at both the macro and micro levels. It also sought to determine the actual role of hybrid manufacturing in achieving sustainable environmental development, given the mediating role of core competencies within the investigated organization. Furthermore, the research explored how the organization’s core competencies enhance the effectiveness of hybrid manufacturing to achieve sustainable environmental development, while diagnosing whether the mediation was full or partial.
Key Findings
- The existence of a statistically significant positive correlation and impact relationship between hybrid manufacturing and sustainable environmental development.
- The results demonstrated that core competencies play an effective mediating role in enhancing the impact of hybrid manufacturing on sustainable environmental development within the studied organization.
- The study emphasized the importance of adopting more efficient and sustainable production practices to support industrial organizations’ shift toward sustainable environmental development.
