Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Industrial Management Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ragheed Ibrahim Ismail, the Department of Industrial Management organized a scientific workshop titled “The Role of Civil Society Organizations in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals“ on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The workshop was held at the Management Information Systems Department Hall No. (2).

​The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Mohammed Abdullah, who highlighted the vital role that civil society organizations (CSOs) play in supporting sustainable development efforts. He also discussed the mechanisms for designing and implementing local initiatives capable of creating an effective developmental impact across various societal sectors.

​The workshop aimed to enable participants to understand the roles of civil society organizations in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), and to enhance their capability to adopt initiatives and projects that contribute to addressing developmental challenges and achieving comprehensive development.

​The event was attended by several faculty members from the departments of Industrial Management and Business Administration, alongside researchers and students. It concluded with scientific discussions and interactive dialogues on ways to strengthen partnerships between academic institutions and civil society organizations to serve sustainable development goals.
