The Council of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Discusses Preparations for the New Academic Year and Emphasizes Support for International Publishing and Academic Performance Quality

The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held its twenty-third regular session for the academic year 2025–2026, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, and attended by the Associate Deans, heads of scientific departments, and several officials from relevant administrative divisions and units.

The council began its proceedings by reviewing the administrative and academic directives issued by the Council of the University of Mosul, and discussing implementation mechanisms to enhance institutional performance quality and elevate the educational process.

The council emphasized the importance of supporting the research output of the faculty and expanding scientific publishing in reputable indexed international journals, while stressing the need for careful scrutiny in selecting internationally recognized journals, to maintain academic rigor and enhance the college’s presence in global databases and rankings.

The council also discussed a number of organizational and academic files, foremost among which were the preparations for the competitive examination for postgraduate studies scheduled to be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, and the completion of procedures for verifying the averages of graduating students in preparation for issuing the administrative orders for their graduation, as well as adopting the implementation of the unified university uniform with the launch of the academic year 2026–2027.

The session concluded with the discussion of the minutes of the scientific departments and taking the necessary decisions and recommendations regarding them, confirming the college’s approach toward continuous development and enhancing integration between academic and administrative aspects, supporting its journey toward excellence and leadership in higher education.
