The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, Discusses a Doctoral Dissertation on Customer Centricity and Environmental Performance

The Department of Industrial Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Monday, June 29, 2026, the doctoral dissertation entitled: “The Relationship Between Customer Centricity and Environmental Performance: The Moderating Role of the Capability Maturity Model Integration – A Case Study in the General Company for Textile and Leather Industries / Leather Factory,” submitted by the student Tabarak Mahmoud Shukr, in Discussion Hall No. (1).

​The study aimed to test the moderating role of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) in the relationship between customer centricity and environmental performance at the General Company for Textile and Leather Industries / Leather Factory, and to demonstrate the extent to which organizational maturity levels contribute to enhancing the impact of the organization’s customer-oriented approach on improving its environmental performance.

​The study reached a number of conclusions, most notable of which was the existence of a statistically significant relationship between customer centricity and environmental performance. The results also showed that the Capability Maturity Model Integration plays a moderating role in this relationship, contributing to enhancing the impact of customer centricity on improving environmental performance as the company’s organizational maturity level increases.
