Amidst a Majestic Academic Atmosphere… College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Celebrates the “Lions of Mesopotamia” Class Graduates in the Oath-Taking Ceremony for the Academic Year 2025–2026

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmud Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, the College of Administration and Economics held on Thursday morning, July 23, 2026, the oath-taking ceremony for the “Lions of Mesopotamia” class of the academic year 2025–2026 at Dr. Mahmud Al-Jalili Hall (The Grand Theater), amidst an academic and administrative presence that reflected the significance of this occasion in the lives of the graduates.
The ceremony witnessed the attendance of the Vice President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jassim, along with the members of the College Council, and a number of the college’s faculty members and staff, who shared with the graduates the joy of crowning their academic journey.
The ceremony was opened by the master of ceremonies, Assistant Lecturer Sufyan Al-Sabawi, followed by the entrance of the Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, the Dean of the College, and the members of the College Council to the celebration platform. The audience then stood in respect during the playing of the Iraqi National Anthem, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq.
The Dean of the College delivered a speech on this occasion, expressing his pride in the college’s graduates and emphasizing that their graduation represents the fruit of years of hard work and diligence. He urged them to carry the message of science and knowledge, adhere to professional and ethical values, and actively contribute to serving the nation and society.
In a solemn moment that embodied the meanings of responsibility and belonging, the Dean invited the graduates to stand and raise their right hands to take the graduation oath, renewing their pledge to abide by scientific integrity, professional ethics, and to harness their knowledge to serve Iraq and its institutions.
The ceremony included honoring the first-place students in the scientific departments for both morning and evening studies, where the Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs and the Dean of the College presented them with letters of appreciation and thanks in recognition of their scientific excellence and academic distinction.
The ceremony concluded with taking collective commemorative photos in an atmosphere filled with feelings of pride, honor, and joy, marking the launch of a new phase in the lives of the college graduates, armed with science and knowledge to contribute to serving society and building the nation’s future.
This ceremony embodies the keenness of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul to celebrate its graduates, reinforce the values of belonging and excellence, and enhance the university’s mission in preparing scientific competencies capable of keeping pace with development requirements and serving the community.
