The University of Mosul – College of Administration and Economics – Department of Marketing Management Discusses Master’s Thesis on the Role of Customer Intelligence in Enhancing Sustainable Competitive Advantage

The Department of Marketing Management at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, witnessed on Thursday, August 6, 2026 the defense of the master’s thesis entitled “The Role of Customer Intelligence in Enhancing Sustainable Competitive Advantage in the Commercial Sector,” presented by the student Atheer Khalil Ibrahim Al-Jubouri.
The study aimed to demonstrate the nature of the correlation and impact relationships between customer intelligence as an independent variable and sustainable competitive advantage as a dependent variable, at both the macro and micro levels, thereby contributing to clarifying the importance of utilizing and analyzing customer information in supporting marketing decisions and enhancing the competitive capability of commercial organizations.
The study reached a number of conclusions, most notably the existence of a statistically significant correlation between customer intelligence and sustainable competitive advantage at both the macro and micro levels. This confirms that utilizing data and information related to customers contributes to building sustainable competitive advantages, and enhances the ability of organizations to respond to market variables and achieve excellence in the business environment.
