The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed on Thursday, September 3, 2026, a master’s thesis entitled “Contributions of Strategic Thinking in Enhancing Stakeholder Orientation: A Survey Study,” submitted by the student Ihsan Adnan Abdulrahim Qaddo, in Discussion Hall No. (2).
The study aimed to build a comprehensive theoretical framework for the two variables—strategic thinking and stakeholder orientation—based on the latest administrative literature, as well as to diagnose the reality of strategic thinking practice among leaders in the educational sector, and to measure the level of awareness regarding its dimensions: systems thinking, identifying new opportunities, and future vision.
The study reached a number of conclusions, most notably the existence of a positive and statistically significant impact of strategic thinking in enhancing stakeholder orientation, confirming that strategic thinking represents a essential factor in developing organizations’ ability to manage their relationships with various stakeholders and achieve balance among their interests. Furthermore, stepwise regression analysis revealed that future vision and systems thinking were the most capable of explaining the variation in stakeholder orientation, while the dimension of identifying new opportunities did not appear within the final model.

The Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics Intensifies Preparations for Science Day Awards... Coordination Meetings to Ensure Quality Participation and Outstanding Competition The Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jamil, held a coordination meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, with a number of members of the Science Day Awards committees across scientific departments. The meeting was attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, as part of a series of meetings organized by the college in preparation for participating in the Science Day Awards. The meeting discussed submission mechanisms, emphasizing the college's keenness to compete in three main categories: the Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Published in International Databases, the Book Authoring Award, and the Award for Best Graduation Project for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students. The Dean emphasized the importance of adhering to the submission guidelines, noting that the college had previously provided the committees with an instructional video illustrating the electronic submission process. He stressed the need to document the application process via screen recording to ensure procedural integrity, in addition to having committee members explain all controls, instructions, and application mechanisms to faculty members and students, along with clarifying the terms and specified timeframes for each award. The meeting also indicated that the college deanship will maintain direct follow-up on this matter, as another coordination meeting will be held on the upcoming Sunday and Monday, followed by a final meeting on September 13, 2026, prior to the deadline, to ensure the completion of all participation requirements and enhance the college's chances of achieving a distinguished presence in the Science Day Awards. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean affirmed that the college views the Science Day Awards as a national platform to highlight scientific and research excellence. He stressed the importance of active participation to reflect the prestigious academic standing of the faculty and students of the College of Administration and Economics, contributing to the consolidation of a culture of creativity and scientific achievement.
