The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Requirements for Improving Overall Social Performance in Healthcare Organizations: An Analytical Study,” presented by student Azhar Mahmoud Muhammad Ali Al-Rawi, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, in the Department of Business Administration hall.

​The study aimed to diagnose the current state of social performance at Mosul General Hospital according to the GRI 400 standards, particularly regarding labor relations and employment, equality and human rights, and responsibility toward customers. Furthermore, it sought to explore the requirements for improving social performance and identify strengths and shortcomings to contribute supportive proposals and recommendations for enhancement.

​The study reached several conclusions, most notably the absence of statistically significant differences in respondents’ perceptions of social performance levels based on demographic variables (gender, age, educational attainment, years of service), reflecting a alignment of employees’ perspectives toward social performance concepts. The results also indicated a variance in the level of applying social performance requirements; while the organization demonstrated clear attention to the health and safety of patients and employees as well as patient rights, other areas required strengthening—most notably employee participation in decision-making, support for employees post-service, interaction with the local community, and social oversight of suppliers.
