The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “The effectiveness of leadership and its role in facing the toxic work environment: A field study in the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh Governorate”
The discussion was honored by the presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Thair Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman.
The current study presented by the student “Omar Nabil Hamdoun” in the Department of Business Administration seeks to identify the extent of the impact of leadership effectiveness in the face of the toxic work environment in the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh Governorate, as the effectiveness of leadership is an independent variable and its dimensions were represented by the ability to (inspiration, management, motivation, responsibility, control, influence and positive attitudes) As for the toxic work environment, it was an approved variable and included the following dimensions: (rudeness in the workplace, ostracism in the workplace and bullying in the workplace), which appear in the field of research and confront the individuals working in it when practicing their jobs.
The study reached conclusions, most notably: There is a correlation and a moral impact between the effectiveness of leadership and the face of the toxic work environment, as the strongest correlation for the dimensions of leadership effectiveness with the toxic work environment when the ability to influence with the face of the toxic work environment.
The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Maysoon Abdullah Ahmed, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Yazan Salem Muhammad from the University of Karbala, and Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Bashir Muhammad, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul Mawjoud Al-Ani.
