The Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the research of the Higher Diploma in Banking Sciences tagged “Electronic payment and its impact on the stability of the banking sector: a study in a sample of Arab countries”.

The study examines the impact of electronic payment on the stability of the banking sector in a sample of Arab countries through the multiple linear regression model and using the Balanced Panel data method, to analyze data taken from Iraq, Kuwait and Bahrain in the period from 2011-2020. Thus, the results of the study focused on the complex relationships between electronic payment mechanisms and some macroeconomic variables and the stability of the banking sector.

The study reached several results, the most important of which are: There is a positive impact of high interest rates on deposits on the stability of the banking sector.

The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Zahraa Ahmed Al-Nuaimi, and the membership of each of the teacher, Dr. Harith Ghazi Al-Dabbagh, and the membership and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Fawzi Muhammad.
