The Department of Management Information Systems – College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held a scientific workshop entitled (Information Technology and Sustainable Agriculture)

And the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Thaeir Ahmed Saadoon Al-Samman
The Department of Management Information Systems – College of Administration and Economics – University of Mosul held a scientific workshop entitled (Information Technology and Sustainable Agriculture)
On Wednesday, 13/3/2024 at 9 am at Lab 1 hall in the department, and it was attended by Prof. Dr. Thaer Ahmed Al-Samman – Dean of the Faculty – and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs and a number of faculty and students of the Faculty …
The workshop opened with three research papers and included the themes of the workshop:
The first axis / smart green cities … Prof. Amer Abdul razzaq Al-Nasser
The second axis / green agriculture … Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein
The third axis / the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in sustainable agriculture … Prof. Ali Abdel Fattah Al-Shaher and Assoc. Prof. Mohamed Assem Al-Salem

The workshop aimed to shed light on digital and smart information technology and sustainable agriculture. It reached a set of recommendations, including:
1. The government’s interest in building a strategy for sustainable agriculture based on digital and smart information technology.
2. Increasing awareness and culture in this field, especially in rural areas through the establishment of conferences and seminars.
3. Attention to the establishment of a firefighting system based on fire sensing for agricultural crops before they occur.
4. Interest in the use of Internet of Things technology in greening departments and institutions, as well as rooftops.
