The Department of Management Information Systems at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, discussed the master’s thesis tagged “Factors affecting the use of augmented reality technology for cybersecurity awareness: a survey study in the banking sector”

The current study presented by the researcher “Talib Ghani Jassim” aims to identify the factors affecting the use of augmented reality technology for cybersecurity awareness. In order to achieve this goal, the study plan was designed, starting from the factors affecting the adoption of augmented reality technology to the intention to adopt this technology, and then its impact on raising awareness of cybersecurity based on the theory that supports the adoption of technology, represented by the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2),

A set of conclusions were reached, the most important of which are: The existence of a clear indication that cybersecurity awareness depends heavily and mainly on the adoption of an application based on augmented reality technology in the researched organization.

The discussion committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Riad Diaa Aziz from Maysan University, College of Administration and Economics, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ramadan Mahmoud Remo, and Assistant Professor Dr. Mohamed Younis Mohamed Al-Sabawi under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel Fattah Al-Shaher.
